Monday Night Football

Was that not a GREAT Monday Night Football game?  Also the city looked GREAT on ESPN, except for the few shots where they used stock video and the MODIS sign was still on the building downtown where it clearly has been changed to Wells Fargo.

Our Defense really played like their lives depended on it, and shut the Baltimore Ravens down.
Take that Ray Lewis, with your little gay dance.  Jags 12 Ravens 7.

Hmmmmmm….

This week has been pretty eventful down at old Everbank Field.

Let’s forget about how the nation will be watching us on Monday night as we play in the first of two ESPN Monday Night Football games this year.  Let’s also forget about the little 1-6 record.  Our team is under achieving and coach Jack Del Rio is on the hot seat……   (I can’t wait to hear the shit the ESPN crew has to say about us.)

This week we re-signed WR Mike Sims-Walker after he was released by the Rams on Monday. Now this is actually a good move since the Rams are on the hook for his salary this year.  I think we are paying him the league minimum.  I hope he knows that most players don’t get second chances on the NFL….  He better catch EVERYTHING that is thrown his way.

Also, it came to light this week that former QB David Garrard has a herniated-disc in his back that obviously he has had for some time.  His agent has “put it in the atmosphere” that the Jaguars knew about it, and released him because they didn’t want to pay him $500k per week to sit on the bench/recover.

Now perception is reality, and I don’t know if the team knew about this injury, BUT…….   it’s mighty coincidental that in the pre-season, they sat David for at least one of the games because of back issues…

I hate that out home team Jacksonville Jaguars have started this season off with just 1 win, but today we get some answers..

Former QB David Garrard announced today that he has a herniated disc in his back and will get surgery this week.  Was that the reason he was playing so poorly during the preseason???

Also former WR Mike Sims-Walker was released from the Rams today.  That’s what happens when you can’t catch the ball.  So I guess Jaguar GM Gene Smith was right in letting him go.

Lets just all pray to the football Gods that we can have a good game…..  and maybe even a victory on Monday Night Football against the Baltimore Ravens.

Jags start the season off right…… 1-0

Well with David Garrard gone, there was a huge question mark about our Jacksonville Jaguars.

Having a rock solid running game, that all but ran thru the Tennessee Titans, and a Defense that had a sack on the first play of the game.

Final Score: Jacksonville 16  Tennessee 14

Let’s just hope that The Colts don’t sign David and he comes back to haunt us….

The Jags are BACK…..

The past 48 hours have been kinda hectic with all the new rules, and free agency signings.
