The general election for the next mayor of Jacksonville, along with runoffs for several city council seats and tax collector takes place on May 17, but there’s no need to wait until election day to vote.

Early voting started on Monday at both supervisor of elections offices and eight area libraries.

Early voting ends on May 15. All precincts will be open on May 17.

In the days before the March 22 first election, just over 26,000 people took advantage of early voting.

Duval County Early Voting Locations:

10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday at the following locations:

  • Beaches Regional Library, 600 3rd Street, Neptune Beach
  • Highlands Regional Library, 1826 Dunn Ave.
